Mathematical, Computational, and Systems Biology

Research in our group focuses on the use of modeling and systems biology approaches to study fundamental questions in biology and medicine. We develop mathematical, computational, and statistical tools that enable us to propose new hypotheses and theories, which we test experimentally in our collaborators' labs. Our highly interdisciplinary research projects are funded by NSF, NIH, and private foundations. These provide ideal training opportunities for ambitious students and postdocs who are interested in science and mathematics at the cutting-edge.
